Our Mission and Purpose
What do we need most in the world? Peace? Love? Compassion? Community? Human beings need all of these things and we, as a species and as a planet are hurting. For the Love of Humanity was created to help ease the pain and suffering within ourselves and in the world.
We believe our stories have the power to heal us. The power isn't in the stories themselves, but in the telling and sharing of them with others. We offer a safe haven here for your stories, for all of our stories, to be shared.
Our mission is to provide a safe and comfortable place to share our stories so that we may feel a connection to our own life experiences and have compassion for humanity.
Our purpose is to remind people that good deeds and kind gestures made every day make the world a better place.
For the Love of Humanity
During the course of our lives we remember many things.
Like that moment of magic when we stayed upright on a bike.
Or when we knew who really ate Santa's sugar cookies.
Jobs and children held and lost. Games and awards won and missed out on.
Fierce weather that frightened us and soft animals we adored.
The first time love breaks our heart. The last words spoken before a loved one passed away.
We remember dates and events. Births and deaths. People and places. Kind gestures and good deeds.
As much as we remember, there are many more things we tend to forget.
To be kind when we've received someone's anger.
To be compassionate when we don't know what to say or do.
To be in touch whenever we feel forgotten.
To be generous with those less fortunate than us, than you.
To be grateful for all it is we have to give.
To be patient with the elderly, the disabled and our own restlessness.
To be honest and tell the truth even when it hurts.
To be forgiving to all who have lied, betrayed and deceived us.
To be responsible for our words, our actions and impact.
To be understanding with people whose views are different from our own.
To be mindful how short our time is here on Earth.
To be loving when nothing else is known.
We mustn't forget our manners, our ancestors, our collective world history.
We must remember, to be kind and good to one another, for the love of humanity.
We are at our best when we help and lift each other up.
We must stop forgetting and remember this now. It's all we have left.
